Our dogs do their inspections with virtually no disruption to your every day life. The following guidelines are the only protocols necessary for an effective and timely inspection.
Please follow the guidelines listed below to maximize the effectiveness of the inspection.
- 2-3 hours prior to our inspection: all smoking materials should be extinguished and no e-cigarettes should be used. Spray air fresheners should not be used and electric fresheners should be remove or unplugged.
- 20-30 minutes prior to the inspection: heater, air conditioners and fans should be turned off and windows closed. It is helpful if the linens on beds are turned up to expose the mattress and box springs.
- Please make sure our dogs have no access to any chemicals or household cleaners, food, toys, litterboxes, pet food and any drugs or medications.
- Noise & human distractions must be kept to a minimum.
- All pets must be removed from the area to be searched.
- We cannot search areas where pesticides have been applied in the last 30 days.
- All insecticide and pesticide dusts must be vacuumed with HEPA filter 24 hours prior to the search and any insect or rodent traps or bait must be picked up.
Please be aware that areas that are cluttered with garbage, feces, dirt, food, clothing, boxes, etc. will not be searched as they present a hazard to our dogs. Additionally, they compromise the effectiveness of the dog’s ability to perform their job.
Prior to the inspection, the handler will check the areas to be searched. Failure to follow these protocols may result in the handler refusing to search the area(s). Additional fees may apply.
